~Miranda is such a sweet girl and I am happy to have had her in my room this year. She is a positive role model to her peers and is a friend to everyone. Miranda is a hard-working, conscientious student who always strives to do her best. I am confident that Miranda will do very well next year in the third grade and all of the years to come. I am going to miss her! Have a wonderful summer!~

Ok, I'm breathing a little easier now. One more day of school (after today) and the field trips are over. What a busy weekend and then on Tuesday Miranda had a field trip that was about an hour away. Now I'm home doing laundry and cleaning. I've got to get to the grocery store either today and tomorrow!!
I'm so ready for summer. Can't wait to just sleep in:)
Have a good rest of your week!!!!!

This is what happened this morning: Steve came out of the bathroom with Patricks tooth-brush and laid it on the counter and said that it goes to the upstairs bathroom. Here's the scoop. Patrick has been warned and warned about leaving his toothbrush on the counter IN OUR Bathroom. It is a privilege for us to let him brush his teeth in our room as he has a bathroom upstairs but for whatever reason (probably sometimes just quicker) we let him brush his teeth in our bathroom. Well, he has left his toothbrush out a little too many times and Steve has continually reminded him to put it away, but most of the time Patrick forgets. I on the other hand wanted to step in a say he'll do better and put the toothbrush back in OUR bathroom...but knowing that Steve meant business....I let the toothbrush go upstairs with Patrick;/ I started thinking about this and put a spritual twist to it.....How often Jesus wants us to change and pleads with us but we keep "forgetting" to make a change and then we have to deal with the consequences. As a Mom looking on....I'm thinking how Patrick is such a good kid and maybe he won't forget again....but I also know there are consequences for every choice we make and we have to deal with the outcome. Maybe someday Patrick will get to brush his teeth in OUR bathroom again....but until then.....Hope he doesn't mind running upstairs to get his teeth clean:/

Well, what a busy week this week. With 2 programs for the kids and then soccer practices.....Every night was filled up!!!!.....And this weekend hardly looks relaxing with Patrick's soccer games in morning and then a Big Birthday party for our Pastors tomorrow night....Tonight we're going to see Steve's old friend from Steelcase (where he use to work) as he and his family are in town. They just had a baby boy a couple months ago...so Miranda and I will get our practice in:)
I can't believe I'm 23 weeks. Over half way there;) ......I'm feeling pretty good....just really tired at times. I know it's my age:/ Oh well. I was commenting last night, at Patricks band concert, about being like 56 years OLD when this baby graduates from High school.... and this lady commented on that is what she is gonna be when her son graduates. Oooops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have a fabulous weekend!!!!!

Happy Birthday, Patrick!!!!
"I wish for a God fearing son that respects others and himself......." This was a small part entered in Patricks baby book, written from Steve, just after Patrick was born. Thankfully he has become that son. He is now 13......and we are so proud and thankful for him. We Love you, Patrick James Acre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a beautiful fresh coat of snow we got last night. If it's cold, it might as well snow:)
Sitting here watching the olympics...trying to get out of the things I need to do. Steve informed me he is wearing the last t-shirt in his drawer. Patrick also informed me he has no white t-shirts. Guess I need to throw some whites in, don't ya think?
Let me tell you about the last almost 3 months.......Totally exhausted.....feeling so nauseated (sp?) and nothing sounds good to eat. AND when I THINK something sounds good to eat....once I get it .......it looks disgusting.....You know where I'm going, right? :) The poor kids main view of me is sleeping on the couch.....we finally had to let them know the news....We told them not to tell Anyone so Miranda goes to school and tells her best friend, "I have something to tell you but I can't" Her best friend guesses.."Your Mom's pregnant"! And Miranda says, "Well, just don't tell anyone"!!!! Can you believe it? I guess she didn't really tell her friend but why not go ahead. She got talked to about that and felt bad. Oh well. She is extremely excited and will be a huge help with our new baby.
Well...better get going on my laundry. I am feeling somewhat better. Thank goodness.
Have a fanfabulous week!!!!!

Thought I'd explain the pic's above. We were waiting to be seated @ the RainForest Rest. in Detroit and Steve had run to the bathroom. The kids and I decided to get our picture taken while we waited.......Steve was trying to call me in the meantime and I didn't hear my phone. He said he looked over and we "caught" his attention as we were "trying" to pose in the photo booth.....he could see us from the screen outside of the photo booth:) He decided to join us......there you have it:)
Gotta go get ready for Miranda's Valentine party. I just love how she loves school and life. She sooo enjoys everything.
Went to the Pistons game last weekend as Patrick just finished up his basketball season and we wanted to end it with a Pistons game in Detroit. We had sooo much fun and Patrick and Steve really enjoyed it. Miranda and I really enjoyed the slushie and cotton candy:) -
Have a sweet Valentine weekend!!!!!!!!!

Had a sweet lunch with my little one. She just loves having me meet her for lunch and I enjoy getting in her world a little bit. However, I did notice her best friend beside her got a lot of her attention.....giggles and all:) Sweet.
I KNOW we're in Northern Michigan when Patrick goes snow-shoeing in his P.E. class. I think I need to get some!!!!! Sounds like a lot of fun.
Steve is enjoying his new job. He really loves working downtown and especially when his drive is about 20 mintues from home:)
Going to a Pistons game this weekend in Detroit. Got a hotel for Friday and Saturday night:) Hopefully there's a Krispy Kreme donuts right around where we stay:)
Snow keeps falling here. So pretty. Pretty cold too:)
Have a great week.
